I wanted to post some pictures of our Walker Family Christmas Party!! We had such a great time! We had our party at the Utah Food Bank. The Utah Food Bank provide 1300 hot meals EVERYDAY to kids in Elementary School who do not have food to go home to after school. On weekends, they provide those kids with backpacks full of food for the weekend. This is called The Backpack Program.
Our family did 2 things- we went and put together all the backpacks for the children to take home so they could eat over their Christmas Holiday and then as a family, we collected and bought things for 150 stockings so some of the children would have something for Christmas. It was a great experience!!
If you are ever looking for a volunteer opportunity, please go to The Utah Food Bank!! They ALWAYS need volunteers! Monday night is family night and you can call and arrange to take kids of all ages to volunteer. Everyother night they only want volunteers who are 12 yrs old and older.
